Elected in 2002, Judge Price took office in January, 2003, and was appointed Show Low City Magistrate in December, 2004. Prior to being elected, he had already served as a Pro Tempore Judge in Navajo and Apache Counties for over three years – after having retired in 1998 from the Phoenix Police Department with over 25 years of serving his community there. Judge Price is married to LaRee, and between them they have nine grandchildren. Judge Price has a teen court, which is a program that allows student offenders to plead his or her case before a jury of other students for the most appropriate punishment. Judge Price is a member of the Show Low Lions Club’s of which he served as president for 7 years. He received the Lions Club Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for his humanitarian service to his community, Teen Court, and the Show Low Lions, which has awarded scholarships to graduating seniors.
