Lois Fleener
Navajo County Human Resources Director
Lois Fleener joined Navajo County on October 17, 2011, as the Navajo County’s Human
Resources Director. Ms. Fleener brings with her a wealth of knowledge and understanding
of the legal complexities and organizational opportunities that exist in Human Resources
to Navajo County. Ms. Fleener began her career in Human Resources in 1996, and later
received her Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Human
Resources from the California Polytechnic University in 2000. Since that time, Ms.
Fleener has been the Human Resources Manager for large and small private businesses,
including Home Depot and the Corrections Corporation of America.
Along with her responsibilities as the Human Resources Director, Ms. Fleener is
also a member of the Army Reserve where she is an instructor, teaching Intelligence
to enlisted soldiers. Before joining the Army Reserve, Ms. Fleener completed a total
of 24 years in the Navy and Navy Reserve, where she volunteered for a one-year tour-of-duty
in Afghanistan.
Ms. Fleener was born in southern California, and spent several years in the beautiful
Bay Area of northern California while serving in the Navy. Ms. Fleener has spent
the majority of her life in Casa Grande, Arizona. In her spare time she enjoys reading,
photography, hiking and traveling. She has traveled to eighteen countries on four
continents with the most unique being two six-month deployments to Antarctica.
