Emergency Call Out Criteria

An on-call officer will respond to an emergency call-out through Navajo County Sheriff Dispatch for the following reasons only:

  1. Animal Bites
  2. Animal Attacks
  3. Animal Injuries
  4. All Potential Rabies Issues or Exposures (including bats in sleeping quarters)
  5. Law Enforcement Assistance

If your problem falls in one or more of the above listed criteria please call the Navajo County Sheriff Dispatch at:

If it is an imminent life or death emergency:

Call 911

*Please note that Animal Control WILL NOT respond to any of the following:

  1. Snakes in living or sleeping quarters
  2. Wild animals walking across yards
  3. Bats in attics or open carports
  4. Animals under houses or up in trees

*Please also note that calls about stray animals and barking dogs DO NOT constitute a valid reason for an emergency call-out and will be responded to on the next business day.
