Message from Nursing Services
While your doctor, and most of medicine concerns themselves mostly with treatment
while you are sick, we in public health concern ourselves with the whole community.
Our focus is the prevention of disease, and promotion of health. An accepted fact
is that the reason we live longer worldwide in this century is thanks to improvement
in public health rather than in treatment of diseases, i.e. improved immunizations
available, safer water, air, etc…
Flu Shots
Navajo County Public Health Services has limited amounts of flu vaccine available,
therefore we have had to cancel some clinics in some areas. Please contact your
local Health Department Office to check if vaccine is available. Those placed on
the waiting list for the Holbrook and Winslow clinics will still receive their flu
shot as long as the supplies last. Information and clinic details will be provided
separately for H1N1 immunization clinics as soon as it becomes available.
