Prenatal Block Grant Program
Mission Statement
The Navajo County Prenatal Block Grant Program will help create and develop a community
services network that facilitates early access into already established health programs
for our local target population (women of child bearing ages 13-46). The Injury
Prevention Program will help ensure that Navajo County Community members are better
educated on the proper use of car seats, seat belts, and reducing the risk of driving
under the influence therefore increasing the safety of Navajo County.
This network will:
Provide FREE access to Prenatal Education based on topics according to client's
needs. Increase community awareness on car seat and seat belt misuse.
The Prenatal Program was Established to Help:

Meet the health care need of our target population:

Women of Child Bearing Age (13-46)

To provide community recognition on county prenatal services increasing the amount
of referrals received

Decrease the amount of car seat misuse in Navajo County To increase the percentage
of mothers between the ages of 12 & 25 that receive prenatal education

Increase the amount of mothers who have received CPR training for their infants
