  • AHCCCS/BABY ARIZONA/SOBRA
  • TANF benefits
  • Paternity establishment
  • Vaccine for children providers, including NCHD
  • WIC for pregnant and breastfeeding women and for children 0-5
  • Family planning services, including NCHD
  • Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies, March of Dimes, etc...

Development and continuation of the Community Network & Referral Guide

  • This guide is a useful tool for health care consumers, new members of the communities within Navajo County and for Health Care Providers
  • It allows easy access to agencies that deal with families or special needs issues such as no insurance, homelessness, problems with utilities or food, etc...

Prenatal Education Class in conjunction with the WIC department

  • This class provides valuable information on nutritional needs of mom and infant
  • How to recognize preterm labor, its causes, how to treat preterm labor and when to call your physician
  • Encourages breast feeding for all new moms and provides the assistance necessary to make sure that this is a successful and rewarding experience
  • Encourages good parenting skills by providing the basics from dealing with colic, uncontrolled crying, establishing limits, building self esteem in your child, where to turn to help, developmental milestones, and basic infant care (cord care, bathing, swaddling, etc...)

Community Education programs that encourage positive self esteem in teens, consumer awareness with regards to wellness issues, effective communication techniques, prenatal issues, and perinatal substance abuse issues.

Community education programs for agencies and providers of perinatal health issues such as breast feeding, prenatal care, preterm labor prevention, Paternity issues, etc...
