Emergency Management & Preparedness
Navajo County Emergency Management (NCEM) plays an integral part in emergency events that occur with both tribal and non-tribal lands.
In anticipation of man-made and/or natural disasters NCEM's team promotes planning and preparation should they occur. Since it is not known when a disaster may take place these planning and preparation strategies are important in reducing the effects of a disaster. To the left you will find additional information on planning and preparation activities to help you, your family, friends, and neighbors manage daily business with minimal impact.
Navajo County's Emergency Management team also plays an instrumental part during the disaster event. A major role NCEM's team plays is to oversee the coordination of response and mitigation activity in the event of an emergency. NCEM's team interacts with federal, state, tribal, and local jurisdictions along with volunteer organizations and the public to minimize the impacts and resume normal activities.
We encourage you to check back to this website for updates that will provide you as a citizen of Navajo County valuable information to help you, your family, friends, and neighbors in a safe and practical manner.
