Property Tax Calendar

|The current year tax bills are mailed to the owner of record when the tax roll was finalized in August. It is important to notify the Treasurer or the Assessor if you have a change of address, or new email, to ensure prompt delivery of the tax statement. Tax notices are not forwarded. Please note that the Treasurer is not required to send a tax bill; the notice is mailed as a courtesy to taxpayers. Mortgage companies will contact the Treasurer to obtain the information required for processing a payment. Only one original tax bill is mailed each year.
|The first half taxes are payable on the first day of October. Taxpayers will not be penalized if the payment carries a postmark on or before November 1st. Failure to receive a tax statement is not a legal reason for waiving interest.
|The first half taxes become delinquent if not paid by 5:00 pm on November 1st of each year. Taxpayers will not be penalized if the payment carries a postmark of November 1st. Each taxpayer is responsible for paying the taxes due. Penalty for late payment is an annual 16% prorated monthly as of the first day of the month in accordance with ARS §42-18053. Interest cannot be waived for any reason other than those prescribed by statute.
|Taxes under $100 and full-year property tax payments may be paid in full by December 31st without interest or penalty. Taxpayers will not be penalized if the payment carries a postmark of December 31st. (Please Note: Full-year taxes paid after 5:00 pm December 31st will incur interest from November 1st on the delinquent first half.)
A delinquent notice will be mailed in early December for the prior year taxes that remain unpaid. It is important to notify the Assessor if you have a change of address to ensure prompt delivery of any delinquent tax notice.
